Audio Engineering Instructor
Born and raised in Corbin, Kentucky, Martin Woodlee began his music engineering journey when he was first introduced to the mixing console at church. It was there in the sound booth that Martin found his true calling. Later with guidance and encouragement from local music mentors, Martin would follow his passion after graduating from Corbin High School and attend Middle Tennessee State University majoring in sound engineering. After attending MTSU for two years, Woodlee had already landed his dream job and decided to work full time. Some of Woodlee’s first projects included recording artists; Amy Grant, Micheal W. Smith, DC Talk, Bill Gather, Lynard Skinnard, and Reba McEntire. Having worked with a number of talented artists, Martin says that his most memorable moment in his career was working with Stevie Wonder.
With three decades of experience in Nashville, California and around the world, Woodlee decided to return to his roots in Kentucky. There he shares his knowledge of not only sound mixing but also sound system installations and room treatments all while being closer to his family. At the same time, he’s becoming the mentor and teacher he once had when he was looking to pursue his dream.
