Starting in August MMC will be introducing two new ensembles along with the MMC String Ensemble that is already active. All three ensembles will be doing a winter performance this year. Acting Ensemble

Objective
The objective of this ensemble is to build basic knowledge and understanding of several acting styles.

Course Description
As an acting ensemble member, you will spend time each week working on a scene and/or monologue appropriate for the current unit. The styles of theater covered in the units will include: musical theater, drama, comedy, and classical. Each unit will offer you the opportunity to practice techniques such as script analysis, physicalization, and expression as they relate to the text. The opportunity to showcase work from the course will occur in December.

Objective
The objective of this ensemble is to build musical skills, such as sight-singing and ear training, and performance skills, such as moving and singing, in a fun learning environment. 

Course Description
MMC’s Junior Vocal Ensemble grew out of our Winter Music Showcase. One of my favorite parts of the Showcase every year was bringing kids together to sing, learn, challenges themselves, and have fun. To continue that tradition and foster it in a more intentional way, we are dedicating an entire semester to developing it, culminating in a final Ensemble Extravaganza with the MMC Violin Ensemble and Acting Ensemble on Thursday& Friday, December 6th & 7th.
